How do I register to play?

When does the season start?
First half - Usually the first half of the season will start in the first weekend of October, with the Premier league and Promotion leagues. The rest of the leagues usually start the following week.
Second half - Usually the second half of the season will start in the second weekend of January.

When can I practice?

What clothes do I need to wear?
Seniors
Games - Long white or cream pants with a white Benoni Northerns cricket/golf shirt.
Practice - Shorts or longs (any colour except red, black preferable) with a white cricket/golf shirt.
Juniors
Games - Long white or cream pants with a white Benoni Northerns cricket/golf shirt.

How do I know if I am playing?
Seniors
Contact your captain to find out if you are required to play on the weekend. If you do not know who your captain is, contact the Club Captain - see Committee.
Juniors
Contact your coach or manager to find out if you are required to play on the weekend. If you do not know who your coach or manager is, contact the Junior Club Captain - see Committee.
I used to play for another club, how can I play for Benoni Northerns CC?
1. You will need to complete a transfer form - download transfer form here. Complete only the first section.
2. Send it to your previous club and request that they complete the transfer form.
3. Your previous club is then required to send it to Easterns. You may also request the completed form and send it to, we will then submit it to Easterns.
Please note that transfers may be rejected if registration fees or match fees are outstanding.
What banking details do I use to make a payment?

I last played cricket a long time ago, can I still play?
All players are welcome. We have teams for players as young as under 8 and there is no upper age limit. Our senior teams range from the flagship Premier league to more social leagues so players with all levels of skill are welcome. We have a dedicated over 35 team (Legends) for the older players that are not keen on playing in the other senior leagues.
